Luis Bernardo Guzmán is a Chilean artist, researcher, technologist, and curator whose work unfolds at the convergence of art, biotechnology, and aerospace technology. His practice investigates the inherent plasticity of living and technological systems through the creation of experimental artworks that extend beyond Earth. Guzmán has developed pioneering Bioart and scientific projects aboard the International Space Station (ISS) and satellites in low Earth orbit, focusing on the emergence of extraplanetary life and speculative space ecologies. His sculptural and installation-based works engage with the socio-ecological tensions of technological acceleration and interrogate the notion of technology as destiny.
